This is an Open Letter to the University of Lethbridge. I encourage others to take action to rectify this gross injustice which is being done to an esteemed, internationally respected Professor who has dedicated his life to the betterment of humanity and life on this earth.

Dear Mike Mahon,
President of the University of Lethbridge
Alberta, Canada

The witch hunt that has been launched by B’Nai Brith against Professor Anthony Hall has now become mainstream news, all according to a well-worn template. I am sure you are under a great deal of pressure to comply and participate in the attempt to destroy Dr. Hall’s career. The B’Nai Brith is a very powerful lobby organization. One could argue that they run our government, and now it is becoming obvious that they run the Universities.

Even while I am crafting this letter, the situation keeps evolving. There seems to be a coordinated attack, executed according to a preconceived plan in which the University is complicit.

Let me respectfully remind you that a University is meant to be a place of academic freedom, where not only students but also faculty should have the freedom to think, to debate, to question, to discuss, to research, unimpeded by forces of thought-control. A University’s mandate is to create a safe and open atmosphere for the free exchange of ideas.

I thought that the institution of tenure for professors was to provide protection for professors to conduct their research unimpeded by political or corporate interference. Bowing to outside pressure like this is an abandonment of your mandate of academic freedom.

When a senior tenured professor with an international reputation is in the crosshairs of the thought police, then where does that leave the 30 year old professor just launching their career. A fragile place indeed. Can you really boast academic freedom then? Tenure will mean nothing anymore, and those without tenure are even more subject to fear and intimidation and self-censorship.

The ugly post that was planted on Dr. Hall’s Facebook page while he was on a short holiday away from computers could be compared to a gun being planted on a patsy in a crime scene. It seems obvious to me that they will stop at nothing to achieve their goal of destroying Dr. Hall’s career.

Perhaps these extreme tactics are being employed against Dr. Hall because he is such an esteemed and highly acclaimed Professor who has dedicated his life to the betterment of the less privileged people. He has always been concerned about fairness and justness for the Indigenous Peoples. His two-volume “A Bowl With One Spoon” is internationally recognized as some of the most important work written about this subject. They have to stoop down low to bring down someone whose credentials are so high.

I have seen first-hand how someone with a grievance can distort facts and present outright lies, in their zeal to discredit their target. As you may remember, I wrote earlier in the summer about my former friend Brian Carnell’s letter to you. It was by total coincidence that I learned of his letter, and was shocked to see the gross errors in it. Other correspondences behind Tony Hall’s back are being kept secret, which means there is no chance for him to address distortions and inaccuracies.

Please see this excellent short article which outlines the criminal actions of those trying to destroy the career of Professor Tony Hall.

This is the process by which our Universities become instruments of war and deception. If even just asking for the freedom to debate and ask questions about a historical event can get a professor sacked, then how can we expect to have an environment where truth can be pursued. Dr. Hall has simply been advocating for the right to ask the questions. If the evidence indicates that the historical narrative is correct, then the questions will be put to rest, but if the questions cannot even be asked, then we have a problem. It leads us to suspect there might be something to hide.

This thing called “hate speech” is simply speech that a certain group hates. It is the opposite of what it is purported to be. The accusers hate the people who pursue the truth. The truth seekers who dare to question and investigate do so out of their deep desire for peace.

Professor Anthony Hall is one of the most conscientious and honest and righteous men I have ever met. He is motivated by his desire to make the world a better place. For you to be trying to force him out of your University puts a huge blight on you.

It would be wiser for you to stand together with Dr. Hall. The forces trying to bring him down have their first allegiance to a country whose intelligence service the Mossad has this motto: By way of deception, thou shalt do war. Powerful words. Please read them again. By way of Deception, thou shalt do war. Is that what you are aligning yourself with?
